A conference with focus on the role of the Pedagogue

For the third time, Lidingö Utbildningscentrum/Lidingö Folkhögskola organize a conference where you, who are interested in pedagogical questions within school, church, social work field, and others, have the opportunity to explore the role of the pedagogue in learning processes through creative approaches. The theme of the conference is:

The pedagogical
‘ Space in between’

1. a playful exploration of inner/outer ‘between –spaces’
2. In the encounter with’ the other’
3. In the encounter between different cultures

When people come together, there is a ’space in between’, a space that gives room for new ideas and new insights. It is in the gap - a seemingly insignificant between space, as life becomes visible. In a pause, a glance, a smile. The unimportant space suddenly becomes important. This space is unpredictable and goes beyond limits. Between-spaces occur in all kinds of meetings, with yourself and others, between cultures, between body and mind, movement and rest, faith and science - an area which offers the opportunity to shape and experience something new!

During four days in different workshops, the participants get the opportunity to focus on the role of the pedagogue. What does it mean to be a pedagogue? What is knowledge? How is play and life itself integrated in the process of learning? ‘Is it the target or the pathway that is worth the effort?’.

By using creative methods that is based on something we call X-pedagogy, you’ll work with ‘The space-in between’ together with others in your group.
